Colour key: prices · what to do · cautions · places
For sushi in Tung Chung, choose Genki Sushi inside Citygate Outlets for a seated meal or Sushi Take-Out for collection near the station or Yat Tung Estate. Tsujihan at Citygate offers a seafood-rice-bowl alternative. These are different meal formats, not interchangeable sushi restaurants.
Genki Sushi on Citygate’s sixth floor suits shoppers wanting individual sushi orders. Tsujihan in the basement suits diners who prefer one seafood bowl. Sushi Take-Out at Tung Chung station or Yat Tung suits local collection rather than a restaurant meal. Choose around where you already are, not simply the nearest-looking map pin.
30-second decision: Sit-down sushi: Genki, Citygate L6. Seafood bowl: Tsujihan, Citygate B1. Station pickup: Sushi Take-Out, unit TUC 22. Yat Tung collection: Sushi Take-Out, ground-floor shop 32. Confirm the branch before placing an order.
1. Sit-down choices at Citygate Outlets
Genki Sushi
Where: Shop 602, L6, Citygate Outlets, 20 Tat Tung Road, Tung Chung. Open Google Maps.
The official mall listing gives 11:30–22:30 daily and phone 2459 5368. Choose it for: a seated sushi stop between shopping sessions. Think twice if: you need a guaranteed quick meal; the listing establishes neither waiting times nor service duration.
Budget: Genki’s October lunch page advertises a HKD 90 customisable sushi set, with eight sushi choices, a snack and a light dish. However, Citygate participation was not established.
The advertised lunch is dine-in only, Monday–Friday, 11:30–14:30, excluding public holidays and specified dates, at selected branches. Phone to confirm participation and mandatory charges. Do not mistake the chain’s “from HKD 62” lunch headline for the price of this sushi set.
Tsujihan
Where: Shop B13, B1, Citygate Outlets, 20 Tat Tung Road. Open Google Maps. The mall directory lists 11:30–22:00 and phone 2177 0711.
Choose it for: seafood rice followed by rice served with snapper soup. The operator describes this as one bowl enjoyed two ways. Think twice if: your group specifically wants nigiri or maki: Tsujihan is a seafood-bowl specialist, not a substitute for individual sushi ordering. Current official prices were not established.
2. Takeaway branches elsewhere in Tung Chung
Sushi Take-Out, Tung Chung station
Where: Shop TUC 22, Tung Chung MTR Station. Open Google Maps.
The official branch directory lists 10:30–22:30 and phone 2142 9228. Choose it for: checking a collection option near your station journey. Limitation: the directory does not establish whether the unit is inside the paid area; confirm access before arranging pickup.
Sushi Take-Out, Yat Tung Shopping Centre
Where: Shop 32, G/F, Yat Tung Shopping Centre, 8 Yat Tung Street, Tung Chung. Open Google Maps.
The same operator directory lists 10:30–22:30 and phone 2602 3828. Choose it for: collection when already near Yat Tung. Think twice if: you are shopping at Citygate: this is a separate shopping centre. Current prices and stock were not established.
3. Save a floor-and-budget check
Save this: Citygate Genki: L6 602. Citygate Tsujihan: B1 B13. Station takeaway: TUC 22. Yat Tung takeaway: G/F 32. If a hypothetical HKD 90 meal attracts 10% service, it becomes HKD 99; branch charges must be confirmed.
Copy this enquiry: “We are [number] guests visiting [branch] on [date]. Please confirm today’s menu, lunch-set eligibility, final charges and [seating/collection] arrangements. We need to leave by [time].”
