Free Flow Sashimi Buffet in Hong Kong
"Free flow" in Hong Kong can mean two things: unlimited sashimi, or unlimited drinks alongside a buffet. The best deals combine both. Here is where to find them, and how to judge whether they are worth it.
Where to go. Unlimited sashimi bar: cafe TOO, Island Shangri-La. Sashimi plus free-flow sake: Shiki Etsu, Kowloon Bay, from HKD 238 via online offer. Premium seafood station: Kerry Hotel, HKD 768–868. Brunch with free-flow drinks: Aqua, Tsim Sha Tsui.
cafe TOO, Island Shangri-La
The "Taste of Japan" buffet offers an unlimited chilled sashimi bar with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, herring and red shrimp. From Friday to Sunday and on public holidays and eves, it adds jumbo scallops and a catch of the day. A sake free-flow package has been offered at about HKD 298.
Shiki Etsu, Kowloon Bay
At Manhattan Place, 23 Wang Tai Road, this long-running Japanese restaurant offers an unlimited-time buffet of more than 100 items, including fresh sashimi, grilled scallops and fried foie gras, with free-flow sake and CHOYA plum wine. Listed value is HKD 388, with an OpenRice offer at HKD 238 for two or more, service excluded.
Kerry Hotel, Hung Hom
The Japanese seafood dinner buffet, running to 30 November 2026, costs HKD 768 midweek and HKD 868 from Friday to Sunday. The station includes Nagasaki akami tuna, red prawn and hamachi on weekdays, and Hokkaido scallop, ikura and sea urchin hand rolls at weekends. Earlier seasons have included free-flow sake, wine and beer on the weekend tier; confirm the current package.
Aqua, Tsim Sha Tsui
Aqua's weekend brunch has bottomless sashimi and sushi from a Japanese kitchen and free-flow champagne, wine and cocktails. Drinks packages typically run for two to three hours, so arrive on time.
Is free-flow drinks worth it? If you will drink two or three glasses, usually yes. If you will have one, order by the glass.
Judge a sashimi bar by: chef slicing to order rather than pre-cut trays · fish kept on ice · variety beyond salmon · how often trays are replenished.
Drink and eat sensibly. Alternate sake with water, and do not leave sashimi sitting at room temperature while you talk. Pregnant women should avoid both raw fish and alcohol. See is it safe to eat raw fish.
