Colour key: prices · what to do · cautions · places
For serious sushi in Tsim Sha Tsui, the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong 2026 gives a star to two counters, Sushi Wadatsumi and Sushi Takeshi, and also lists Udatsu Sushi. At Sushi Wadatsumi, the official lunch omakase is HKD 1,080, before a 10% service charge. Lunch is the lower-cost way to try a starred counter.
Sushi Wadatsumi at K11 Musea suits traditional Edomae purists and has clear published prices. Sushi Takeshi at The Mira suits diners who want the counter newly starred in 2026, on Nathan Road. Udatsu Sushi at FWD House 1881 suits a special occasion with jazz and cocktails. Sushiro on Granville Road is the casual chain fallback.
30-second decision: Traditional Edomae with fixed published prices: Wadatsumi. Newly starred counter: Takeshi, but confirm the current price. Design-led occasion dinner: Udatsu. Budget or family meal: Sushiro.
1. Starred Edomae counters
Sushi Wadatsumi, K11 Musea
Where: Shop 607, 6/F, K11 Musea, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Open Google Maps. Phone 2619 0199.
The official menu lists lunch omakase at HKD 1,080 and dinner at HKD 2,380, both subject to 10% service. That makes HKD 1,188 or HKD 2,618 per person before drinks. The MICHELIN listing describes fish flown in from Japan five days a week, red-vinegar rice and a private room for up to eight.
Choose it for: classic Edomae sushi and transparent pricing. Limitation: the menu states it cannot provide fully cooked, vegetarian or fish-allergy menus. Sources list different hours, so confirm your sitting time.
Sushi Takeshi, The Mira
Where: Shop B, G/F, The Mira Hong Kong, Mira Place, 118–130 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Open Google Maps. The Mira’s page lists 9391 9392 and says an independent operator, not the hotel, runs the restaurant.
The MICHELIN Guide awarded it a star in 2026 and calls the lunch menu “a bargain”. A Foodie World reported HKD 1,080 lunch and HKD 2,480 dinner in September 2026. Other sites quote lower figures, so sources differ on current prices.
Choose it for: a single omakase served on reservation only, with rice dressed in one of two vinegar blends depending on the fish. Limitation: we could not confirm prices on an official menu. Ask for the current lunch and dinner price before you book.
2. A different style of omakase
Udatsu Sushi, FWD House 1881
Where: G/F, Stable Block, FWD House 1881, 2A Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Open Google Maps. The official site lists 12 seats, Tuesday–Saturday only, and a smart-casual dress code.
Dinner omakase is HKD 2,380 + 10%, which comes to HKD 2,618 per person. The site also lists a HKD 988 lunch, but labels it a limited-time summer menu from 1 July, so confirm whether it still runs.
Choose it for: a celebration where atmosphere matters. Per MICHELIN, the menu combines mostly Japanese ingredients with some local fish and vegetables, with jazz in the background. Limitation: MICHELIN lists Sunday hours, but the official site says it is closed on Sunday.
3. A casual fallback
Sushiro, Granville Road
Where: Shops G2, G3 & 103, G/F, Albion Plaza, 2–6 Granville Road. Open Google Maps. Sushiro’s branch list shows 10:30–22:00 Sunday–Thursday and until 22:30 on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays.
Choose it for: families or a quick meal. OpenRice places it in the HKD 101–200 per person band. Limitation: we did not verify current plate prices, and this is conveyor-chain dining, not a chef’s counter. See our Sushiro guide.
4. Booking and arrival
Copy this enquiry: “Hello, I would like [number] counter seats for [lunch/dinner] on [date]. Please confirm the current omakase price, the service charge, the start time, any dietary restrictions and your cancellation policy.”
Compare lunch and dinner omakase prices, check omakase dress codes, or browse sushi at Harbour City and K11 Musea.
