All You Can Eat Sushi in Hong Kong: Prices, Time Limits and Rules

All-you-can-eat sushi in Hong Kong comes in three forms: restaurant order-buffets, hotel buffets and semi-buffets with a set main course. Prices run from about HKD 238 with online offers to HKD 868 or more at hotel dinners. The rules on time and waste matter as much as the price.

Key facts. Price range: about HKD 238–868 plus 10%. Time limits: most run a fixed session — hotel dinners often 6pm to 9:30pm; some restaurants offer unlimited time. Children: discounted prices by age band. Waste: some places charge for leftover food — check.

Restaurant order-buffets

You order from a menu or tablet in rounds. Shiki Etsu in Kowloon Bay offers an unlimited-time dinner with more than 100 items, fresh sashimi and free-flow sake and plum wine, valued at HKD 388 and offered at HKD 238 via OpenRice for groups of two or more. The offer's valid seating window was 5:30pm to 8pm with service to 9:30pm.

Hotel buffets

Kerry Hotel's Japanese seafood dinner runs 6pm to 9:30pm at HKD 768–868. Kowloon Shangri-La's summer 2026 buffet charged HKD 498 for weekday lunch and HKD 818 for weekday dinner. See hotel Japanese buffets.

Semi-buffets

A semi-buffet pairs a buffet with a plated main or sashimi platter served to the table. Sheraton Tung Chung's Cafe Lantau ran this format with a lobster and sashimi platter per person. It gives better fish quality than open trays.

Unlimited refills at counters

One diner reported that Shimoumi Sushi at The Cameron in Tsim Sha Tsui allowed unlimited sushi refills before 9pm, excluding toro and uni. Confirm directly; such offers change.

Beat the time limit: order the premium items first, in small rounds of two or three. Sashimi and hand rolls first, fried food last — it fills you up fastest.

Child and senior pricing

Age bands differ. Sheraton Tung Chung defined children as 3 to 11 and seniors as 60+. Hotel Alexandra's weekend seafood lunch used 4 to 11, with children at HKD 238 and seniors at HKD 388 against HKD 468 for adults. Some chain buffets have charged about HKD 168 for children aged 9 to 12. See family friendly sushi.

Rules to check: session start and end times · last order time · minimum headcount · leftover charges · whether drinks are included · the 10% service charge.

Don't over-order raw fish. Leftover sashimi cannot be taken home safely. Order in small rounds.
